The Burratagram Holiday Gift Guide 2022
What’s better than burrata? Well, nothing, really, but burrata and Italian cheese-themed merch is the next best thing. Here are some awesome burrata-approved gifts to buy for friends, family, or yourself.
Disclaimer: The first two items are official Burratagram products and can be puchased on Etsy. Some, but not all, of the items listed after those contain affiliate links, which means Burratagram will receive a small commission if you use those links to make a purchase. You are never required to use affiliate links, but it is much appreciated if you do.
Burratagram’s very own signature piece. Three-quarter inch size, perfect for your lapel, lanyard, or wherever you wanna pin it. With a gold-colored plating, burrata looks more regal than ever (some places actually serve burrata covered in edible gold leaf!). Wear it everywhere to identify your fellow #burratasquad out in the world.
Burratagram’s next in line. Burrata + holo = perfection, don’t you think? These bad boys are die-cut and ready to slap on all your stuff. I’m not saying that they’re way cooler than your laptop’s minimalist brand logo, but I’m not *not* saying that either.
Bright green and bottled fresh off the press, “novello” olive oil typically has a strong, peppery flavor. This set from Olive Oil Lovers features oils from the 3 different regions of Italy: Lazio, Puglia (the birthplace of burrata!) and Umbria. Dunk whole loaves of Italian bread in it or drink it straight from the bottle. I’m not here to judge.
The only thing better than a cheese board is a personal-sized one with a built-in holding slot for a glass of wine. Technically, any cheese board is a personal one if you believe in yourself, but this one is sized just right if you’re counting your macros (in a fun way). From Etsy shop 3CStudioUS.
I was going to suggest some cheese knives but I thought you might have already seen a lot of recommendations for those, so instead…space knives. You can use this cosmically gorgeous set to cut up *everything* you’re gonna put on your personal cheese board so it’s a win-win.
Confession: For a long time, I didn’t understand the desire to “dip” your pizza in anything. Like…what? Why was this a trend? A high-quality pizza doesn’t need dip, right? I still maintain that truth, however…I recently tried this stuff and it’s actually amazing. It has become my “I put this stuff on everything” sauce. And I did, in fact, drink the last couple of drops straight from the bottle.
Self-explanatory. From Etsy shop MonarchThreadsInc.
Why drink wine out of plain glasses when you could drink from Estelle Colored Glass instead? You can find almost any color in any style of glass on her site, as well as decanters and cake stands. Some stores carry them now as well, so make sure to check the store locator if you’re nervous about ordering glass. Featured here is the stunning set of 6 mixed pastel stemmed wine glasses. Put one on your personal cheeseboard.
Crushed pepper is a staple pizza seasoning for me, especially since I love a classic white slice. Not all pepper flakes are created equal, though, and I’ve tried many that simply don’t taste like anything at all. Flatiron Pepper Company’s flakes take it up a notch, serving a variety of flakes with varying levels of heat but more imporantly, all containing tons of flavor. Check out their gift sets if you want to see just how much heat you can handle.
Chances are pretty high that you’re subscribed to one or more of the many streaming services available these days, but did you know that you can also get a subscription for the healthiest food in the world? (that link is fully cited, btw) The good folks at EXAU Olive Oil host an Olive Olive Club which will see new bottles of their high-quality oil shipped to you from Calabria, Italy, four times a year. So…Netflix and chill, but the chill is Italian bread soaked in olive oil.
Food and illustrator Dan Bransfield creates posters featuring the most well-known (and well-loved) pizza slices in major metro areas. Look through his shop for your home city or request a custom print. There are also shirts, sweaters, and other accessories because really, pizza should be on *all* your things.
Is there a better way to show your devotion to burrata than by saying “I do” to this badass statement ring? After all, burrata will never hurt you. Note that this a custom order so contact the designer at Lock and Spoon to inquire.
While there’s really nothing like eating Big Mozz’s famous Italian-style mozzarella sticks hot and fresh from their truck or one of their pop-up shops, the NYC staple now ships them frozen to your door. They come with pecorino romano for topping and marinara sauce for dipping. Go get ’em, you deserve it.
As a bonafide nerd who went to school for space science (yes, really), I feel morally obligated to tell you about this t-shirt. I mean…*someone* needs to save the Milky Way, so why not the cheesemongers? I think the #burratasquad would do a pretty kickass job, tbh. This shirt comes to you from the official Cheesemonger Invitational shop.
